QR Code Generator: Link, Wi-Fi and WhatsApp QR Codes That Scan Every Time

What is it?

The QR Code Generator makes a QR code for a Link, any Text, your Wi-Fi network or a WhatsApp chat. The code holds the information itself, so it never expires.

Who is it for?

Shops and restaurants (menus, Wi-Fi, WhatsApp), event organisers, teachers sharing links in class, businesses printing cards and flyers, and families sharing home Wi-Fi with guests.

Make your code

  1. Pick the kind of code and fill in the details: the link, the text, the Wi-Fi name, Password and Security, or the WhatsApp number with country code and a Message.
  2. Choose the Colour, Background, Size and Error correction.
  3. Tap Download PNG for phones and documents, or Download SVG for printing at any size.

Wi-Fi QR codes

  • Type the network name exactly, including capitals and spaces.
  • Security is WPA/WPA2 on almost every router; choose No password for open networks.
  • Guests scan it with the phone camera and tap Join. They never see the password written down.

Printing tips

  • Choose Highest (for printing) error correction for menus, posters and stickers. The code still scans if it gets a little dirty or scratched.
  • Keep strong contrast: dark code on a light background. Light-on-dark and pale colours often fail.
  • Print it at least 2.5 cm wide, and keep the white border.
  • Test the printed proof with two phones before printing many.

Is my Wi-Fi password sent anywhere?

No. The code is drawn in your browser. Remember that anyone who scans the code can join your network.

Example

A café prints a Wi-Fi QR code on each table: guests scan and join without asking for the password, and the staff never have to read it out.

Errors and how to fix them

  • Fill in the details to see your QR code: a required box (link, Wi-Fi name or number) is empty.
  • Phones don’t scan it: increase size, keep dark-on-light colours, and choose higher error correction.
  • Wi-Fi QR scans but won’t connect: the network name or password has a typo, or the security type is wrong.
  • WhatsApp QR opens the wrong number: include the country code without +, e.g. 919876543210.
