What is it?
The Graphing Calculator plots functions like y = x^2, sin(x) or 2x+1, several at once in different colours.
Who is it for?
Students learning functions, teachers preparing lessons, and engineers sketching curves.
How to use it
- Type a function after y =, for example
x^2 - 4. Tap + Add function for more; ✕ removes one. - Drag to move the graph, pinch or scroll to zoom, or use Zoom in / Zoom out. Reset view goes back to the start.
- Download PNG saves the graph for homework or notes.
Typing maths
- Powers:
x^2; roots:sqrt(x); multiply:2*xor just2x. - Functions:
sin,cos,tan,log(base 10),ln,exp,abs; constantspiande. - Use brackets generously:
1/(x+1)is not the same as1/x+1.
Reading the graph
- Where the curve crosses the x-axis are the solutions of f(x) = 0. The Equation Solver gives exact values.
- Where two curves cross, both functions are equal there.
- Trigonometric functions use radians: one full wave of sin(x) is 2π ≈ 6.28 wide.
The graph looks wrong
- Functions like
1/xortan(x)jump at points where they are undefined; a vertical line there is the jump, not part of the graph. - I don’t know … means a word or function isn’t recognised; check the spelling.
- Zoom out if you see nothing: the interesting part may be outside the view.
Errors and how to fix them
- I don’t know “…”: a function name is misspelt; use sin, cos, sqrt, log, ln.
